45 days left! Time To Make Your Reservations!
Hi folks!!!
Wow, 45 days left. That's crazy! Our big day is fast approaching. We're still waiting on some rsvp cards, but we're in pretty good shape. Just a friendly reminder that if you're planning on spending the night in Waukesha but haven't made your hotel reservations yet, try to take care of that soon (see the accommodations page). Country Springs is releasing the rest of our blocked rooms tomorrow (7/23), and the Marriott releases theirs on 8/17. If you don't block the room by that time, you won't get our discounted rate, and they may not have rooms left. Let us know if you run into any trouble booking your spot.
Meanwhile, time is flying by. Since my last entry, we've moved from Orlando (6/30) up to Chicago (7/3) where Naveen has been recruited as a software gaming engineer at WMS. This is his first week (7/21), and we're very excited.
We have a new address!!!
Laura Skowronski & Naveen Nattam
7410 N. Winchester Ave, Apt 3N
Chicago, IL 60626

We still have our cell phones too. Photos of our new awesome apartment are coming soon. Also, engagement photos were taken last week and will be posted soon on the albums page. Our registry page has also been updated.
This weekend we passed our 50-day mark, and Sunday (7/20) my family threw me my first bridal shower!!! Photos have now been posted on the albums page. For space purposes (and distance), this one was for family only, but I'm hoping I can get one together for our friends, sometime, somewhere (please let me know if you have ideas). We truly had a blast starting with some super-tasty home cookin' and then some really cute games. Huge thanks to my mom (Lynda) of course for all that she did, my aunt (Pam Hansen) for coordinating and decorating so much of it, and my grandmother (Grace Malecki) for hosting at her house. My sister (Kristy) had also done a lot to coordinate the event long-distance, and happily she was able to fly in from New York to celebrate with us. Also in attendance were my grandmother Mary Skowronski, my aunt Ellen Munroe, cousin Liz Bagnall, cousin and bridesmaid Becky Hansen, great aunt Pat Domrois, second cousin Karen Janes, grandma's cousin Gloria Winski and her daughter Marilyn Smead, cousin Rob's girlfriend Heidi Ertl, and uncle Dave's fiance "Aunt" Deb. My uncle Rob also had helped decorate a lot, so thanks to him too! I heard my cousin Lea couldn't make it because she was moving into her first house, so congrats to her. Also thanks to Nancy and Stef Domrois who couldn't come but sent a gift anyway. Everyone was so very thoughtful and brought such lovely things for us to start our life here in Chicago. I'm so very thankful for all of the time and effort that went into making the day so special. Hugs and kisses to you all!
