In other news, we will be receiving our album in the next month or so, and we are finally working on honeymoon plans!
As most of you know by now, married life didn't start out for us the way we thought it would. We were married on September 6, 2008, and we went home to our apartment in Chicago the next day after spending some time with family and friends. By the following weekend, I had received an offer to work on an animation project with SpeakeasyFX for Sesame Street's 40th year on television, and Naveen and I decided it was an offer I could not refuse. So by the second weekend after our wedding, I had packed up a single suitcase and moved into a small studio apartment in New Jersey while Naveen stayed in Chicago for his job. We were only (barely) prepared for this situation to last for a few months and then I'd come home, but the project went on through the following summer. Naveen and I spent a difficult 10 months living apart before he was able to get a different job on the east coast so we could actually live together. Since then we have been able to finally open our gifts (thank yous are on their way!) and over Christmas '09 we were able to order our wedding photos and purchase the rights to them so we could publish them online.
It's been a tough year but we are so happy to live together now -- and maybe plan a honeymoon! XO to all and thank you so much for all your support.
